Intake Interview: Help begins with an individual consultation to determine how ones’ eating disorder
began, how it progressed, and what is presently maintaining it.
Psychiatric Evaluation: Psychiatric evaluations are used to determine if the person’s eating disorder
is the primary difficulty or secondary to another psychiatric problem, to provide input into the treatment planning,
and assess if medication is needed. Many people with eating disorders derive great benefit from the use of medication.
Nutritional Consultation: This session will focus on the evaluation of current food intake, eating schedules,
and accuracy of nutrition knowledge. Recommendations are made on taking the first steps towards healthy eating behaviors.
